  2. BTW, I just started watching a new Netflix series, "Ojitos de Huevo (Nothing to See Here)".
It's a comedy about two best friends, both college frosh: one has cerebral palsy and the other is blind.
They move from their small town to Mexico City, to live independently together and pursue their show business dreams.
The first lead actor is Kike Vasquez, who in real life is a psychologist and stand-up comic, who himself has cerebral palsy.
The second is Alexis Arroyo, a real-life comedian and activist, who is himself blind. (The story is loosely autobiographical to Arroyo.)
The show does use risqué humor, and makes frequent references to college parties that include alcohol and drugs. (See: https://www.commonsensemedia.org/tv-reviews/nothing-to-see-here )
It is in Spanish with English subtitles.
It also delves into themes of class, gender stereotyping and dating, sexual orientation diversity, and adaptation and inclusion.
The wider ensemble cast also portrays a wide range of diverse abilities and life circumstances, including compulsive behaviors, tic disorder, speech impediments and mutism, mobility impairments, dyslexia, cognitive differences, and transcendence of family criminal background.
A major theme is the tender and sometimes fraught relationships between children and parents, and between caregivers and people needing support.
I found it an insightful and fun exploration of the challenges, prejudices, exciting adventures, and triumphs involved with making the transition away from one's parents' protective care and walking forward into independence.
Not too many actors in show business who have cerebral palsy. I thought your family might enjoy it.
